every thursday, i blog about a subject that is frequently avoided or even stigmatized by women. it's not that i like to make people uncomfortable, but i just feel like there should be more forums to discuss issues without fear of recrimination. awkward thursdays are my attempt to make this forum available to my readers. feel free to comment in any way--short, long, agree, disagree--whatever. just don't be afraid. here are links to all my awkward thursday posts:

about the blog.

what started as a blog to talk about depression--the disorder--has evolved into a place to write about my life as a person with clinical depression. writing is often my salvation, the only thing i can do that makes me at least a little bit sane. my life is pretty average, but i find average things to be wildly hilarious. so feel free to follow along and laugh wildly at the wild hilarity.

also, a disclaimer, in case you're silly enough to think i might be a medical professional: i'm not. everything i say in this blog is personal opinion, not medical fact. if you want medicine, see a doctor. if you want a place where you can find comfort in the knowledge that you're not the only one with issues, you've come to the right place.
